Good Space – Communities, or the Promise of Happiness brings together artistic positions that proceed perspectives to investigate issues around the theme of “community.” The notion of community has a positive connotation in everyday language: for example, as a grouping that

offers a potential for emotional connection, a pronounced sense of “we,” and an ensuing feeling of familiarity or security. The community is considered to be building block for societies. But societies also tend to establish lines of demarcation with respect to each other...

The exhibition is on view at Villa Merkel, the Merkelpark and the historic halls of the Königl. Württ. Eisenbahnwerkstätten.
