Guided tours for preschool and school classes

All teachers are invited to attend one of our official, guided tours for free to get informed about the exhibition beforehand. (Tuesdays 6:30pm and Sundays 3pm)
The „Esslinger Kulturrucksack“
The „Esslinger Kulturrucksack“ is a cultural education offer for all fifth grade students of Esslingen am Neckar. It is a cooperation project with the WLB/Junge WLB, the Villa Merkel, the galleries of Esslingen am Neckar and the PODIUM Festival.
Art as staple food for everyone! The „Kulturrucksack“ offers every fifth grade exciting events offering space for their own artistic expression and the chance to experience how art makes the world visible.

The Art Education Program at Villa Merkel, with its team of competent, young art historians, offers official guided tours twice a week and free of charge.

Every first Thursday of the month, Artwatch focusses on a certain aspect of the current exhibition. Conveyed by art enthusiasts - not experts - you get a more personal view on the exhibits and a different approach to art.
